Zoli, Unfortunately, I know of no way to fix this. I believe that one of the udated files (of which there are many) has some sort of interaction with the timing needed to activate the hibernation (or standby as well). I have tried to see which processes are associated with the power management features to see if replacing one or more of the old files would fix this. But I have not been able to do this. I would need some sort of software guide to see if a 'dll' file or other system file would be responsible. If I make any progress, I'll let you know. Marc
