Well, i have had the same problem: My beautiful desktop-icons suddenly turned ugly!
The solution was too simple. As most solutions to most problems are ;)
It started when I started using the double head feature of my graphics card to watch
movies on my TV.
So I guess this problem has to do with the desktop-extending feature!
Here's what you do:
- Right-click on your normal desktop.
- Click "Properties"
- Click "Settings"
- Click "Effects"
- Make sure that "Display icons in all possible colors" is turned on.
- Now, Select the OTHER monitor
- Click "Effects"
- Make sure that "Display icons in all possible colors" is turned on.
This should solve your problems!
If you need more info, contact me.
Cheers!
Willy
