I can remove unwanted new programs from the list I get by right clicking on the desktop and choosing "new", either by deleting from the registry "shellnew" items corresponding to the file extensions associated with those programs, as described in the article, or via the new tab of TweakUI. However, when I actually run at least two of the programs, their "shellnew" lines reappear, they reappear in the TweakUI new tab, and therefore of course they are back in the list. What am I missing?
