Question about 'What to Throw Away'

I have a question about 2 files in my Documents and Settings/Local Settings/Temp
folder. They are shown in the form ~WRF3230.tmp . If I try to right or left single
click on either, my computer locks up (actually goes into never ending debug mode).
That means I am unable to select them to delete or even to determine properties.
However, the 2 consume (by process of elimination of other files) almost 1.5 gb.
What are these files and how can I get rid of them?
