Jerry
Your system is NTFS
And that's to bad if it was fat32 it would be duck soup to remove the files...
But you can use the Recovery Console to remove them but you will need to read a bit
to learn how to use it...,see help in win2k on Recovery Console commands,,you will
need to use the SET command so you can get to the files......plus you need to be
the Admin. to do it...
You can also use a program called ERD Commander but it's not free and it's not cheap.
You can also install the Recovery Console from inside of win2k, so when you boot
up you will see it listed as a item you can boot up to...(Menu item)
It will take some work but you can do it..
You will need your win2k cd so have it on hand...
Good Luck...and give it hell.
NOTE****If you don't want to install it,,
Just reboot your machine and hit the F10 key at boot and select Recovery Console
,but it's best to install it.

Just one of the commands in RC
Delete (Del)
Deletes a single file. The delete or del command with the parameters listed below
is only available when you are using the Windows 2000 Recovery Console, which can
be started from the Windows 2000 Setup program. The delete or del command with different
parameters is available from the command prompt in Windows 2000.

delete [drive:][path] filename

-or-

del [drive:][path] filename

Parameters

[drive:][path] filename

Specifies the location and name of the file you want to delete.

 Note

Delete only operates within the system directories of the current Windows installation,
removable media, the root directory of any hard disk partition, or the local installation
sources.
