If your intent is to just wipe your drive clean, then I recommend going to www.killdisk.com
and down load the kill disk utility. Install it on a floppy, insert into your A:
drive, start your system and follow the instructions. The utility is free and it
will leave your drive as clean as a whistle. Have used it on w2k, xp, linux, and
win 9x systems without a hitch. A word of caution though, be sure you have backed
up any info you want off the drive. Kill Disk doesn't play, it will erase everything
and you will not be able to recover it.
