I have a question about Top five reasons why Windows doesn't support your hardware :

I upgraded from 98se to 2000...first it didn't recognize the mouse (fixed that by reloading the common ps/2 driver in the add hardware) then it doesn't recognize that the internal modem even exists.... yes I followed the same procedure with add hardware and the driver is in the list but still no luck.... since it doesn't even recognize the modem as a physical device I can't tell that it was assigned a port...in 98se it was COM3....2000 says I only have one COM port...what's up with that and how do I fix it? thanks :)
