'Clear Unwanted Entries from Add/Remove Programs' may require additional actions

The solution proposed in the message is only partial. An application entry may continue to exist in Add/Remove Programs because another key also needs to be deleted - that relating to the installer used to install the package.

If this is the case, open the Registry using regedit and go to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products

and search through the entries for the appropriate product name and delete the key. PC-cillin 2000 is an example of a product that needs this key to be deleted for its entry to disappear from Add/Remove Programs.
