problem with network connectivity

Dear friends, iam having a problem with my network connection,i am using two network connection,one for internet and another for reservation system.so ineach computer i am having two networkcards,and each connection has its own settings,i.e ip's and mask.the problem is if i am using winxpi cant connect both connection,i.e i am ableto connect onlyone connection at a time,this is also affecting someof the win2000pc,but if i desableone connection then i can connect one remaining connectionwithout any problem,what should i do in order tohave all the connection at a time? please help
