I doubt you "fried" your cd-rom drive by swapping discs. Was there any other problem?
Are you able to put a disc in and open it from My Computer?
Also, this discussion was mainly about a guy trying to figure out if a customer was
trying to cheat him and get a free copy of Windows, but I would be glad to help
you.
