A P4 3gig should have auto BIOS..
BUT you did say what kind of MB you have...
Go into the BIOS to start with if you can't because you can't see it..
make sure the onboard speaker is plugged in..
you should get a error beep (s) if you have a video error.
Then make sure you have the ram is in right...and the right ram for the MB.
Your machine should boot with the pci video card.
If it's a good video card and it's in right.
also check the video cables just to make sure(in right)
Once you have a video reboot into the BIOS and set the boot order up CDROM:,C:,A:
Then give it a try.
