You didn't say what kind of printer you are using..
That would be nice to know..
Some print drivers will take over the win2k print spooler and that maybe the error..
The spooler holds the info to be printed...some programs will also take it over also...one
is Lantastic it renames it when it wants to use it, it will kock out all the printer(s)
listed in the Setting/Printers and you can see or use any of them until your reboot
and then fix the spooler.dll file.
That's OK to a point but sometimes they don't let go when they are done with it.
You may want to back track and remove any new programs that use the printer or update
them to win2k drivers.
