One or two Long Shots..
It sound like the drivers for the pci card are not the right ones..real close but
not right on..
You can Disable the Emergency shutdown functionality BUT you may get a BSOD (lockup)
it's like taking out the light bulb from the OIL light in car, it's trying to tell
you something..
Do you have a spare pci card around, so you can pop in and give it a try out ?, the
card may be going bad who knows..or it can't hold the IRQ from win2k so when win2k
reboots it finds new hardware and runs the wizard...to set it up with a new IRQ setting
or the same one.you can also try to reset it up in the Device Mrg./Hardware and change
the IRQ setting if win2k will let you and you have free one..
You may also want to try a new slot it may help..
Good Luck
