Actually, my solution was stupidly easy. I took my HDD out and basically gave it
a good knock on the center with my knuckle, and it started up perfectly. Now I'm
keeping it in hibernation mode, and haven't had any problems since. I'll probably
still look into buying another HDD just to make sure I have a useable one. I'd hate
to reformat my secondary drive and lose all that info.
