Hi Jon,
How are you.
I get this message whenever I try to start an application/game that is affected by
this & whenever I try to install an application/game that is affected by this. Basically
some things that are on my PC that were working before for some reason are not working
now. Here is a little history bout my problem. I did a fresh reinstall of Win2000,
and started installing some games that I had 2 that worked were Sims 2 & Shrek 2
team action, as well as The War of The Ring. I then tried to install Visual Studio.NET
& could not due to the fact that it requires Win2000 Service Pack 3, I then got myself
online & dowloaded every Service Pack, Update, Hotfix & Patch that I could get for
Win2000. I installed Visual Studio.NET & SQL Server 2000 & was able to use them.
I then started playing Icewind Dale & Disciples 2 & did not see any problems with
my PC, I have done so for the last month & have not played a 3D game during this
time. Last week for some reason I had to see something bout my Sims 2, so I fired
it up & bang I got the Entry Point error bout the GDI32.dll. So I started testing
other games, I put in Shrek 2 - Team Action & I got the USER32.dll error, so I started
panicking. I then tried others & got variations between the GDI32.dll & USER32.dll
error. Anyway I found your solution to the GDI32.dll worked fine now as I managed
to get The Sims 2 to work, now I am at the USER32.dll problem & am completely stuck.
Thanx
Luciano
