This may do it but it may be a fat table vrus, try it and then repost if you don't
get it fixed..
----------------------
1st. reboot your machine and hit the DEL. key or the F2 to get into the BIOS setup.
You may need to read the webpages below to get in to your BIOS setup
------------------------------------------------------------------
How to enter the BIOS or CMOS setup

A word about BIOS passwords

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Once your in the BIOS setup change the boot order to
CDROM:,C:,A:
Then put your win2k cd in the rom drive.
Then Save and Exit the BIOS setup.
When the machines reboots win2k loads up and you will see the windows menu.
Now hit the Enter key windows will ask you if you want to try and repair the OS you
now have on the machine select YES.
It will NOT over write your data files but it will put down new OS files and rework
the reg. file so it can boot.
You will need to reinstall some of your programs so they can run again, smalll price
to pay to get back your data.
When you reinstall your programs put them in the same spot on the HD so you can get
to ALL your data..via the program(s)
NOTE***When you get all the programs reinstalled and win2k is up and running, run
the backup program inside win2k and make a ERD disk and BACKUP your State files so
you don't need to do this again.
Then you can use the ERD disk and the backup file and get your machine back up and
running in about 2mins.
Plus you may want to read this web page(s) also.

Hope this helps.
