Windows 2000 Installation Error !!!!!!HELP!!!! Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 1:04 am Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Art (1 messages posted) Trying to install Windows 2000 Pro on my Laptop. I have been running the same OS(2000pro) on it for 12 months and reinstalled it twice and never had this problem. I have searched the issue in google and yahoo with no result. The error that i keep getting is: File \i386\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded. The error code is 6656 Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit. Im inclined to think its a hardware issue as i have never come across this error before on any 2000 install but without decent results on search engines i wouldn't know where to start diagnosing it. The error is produced straight after it detects the hardware. Does anyone have any ideas or had this problem before? If so, how did you fix it?
