help! desktop not displaying Monday, May 16, 2005 at 1:26 pm Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by J (1 messages posted) when i boot up into windows 2000 professional, the desktop does not display! no icons display, and norton antivirus does not fully load (taskbar icon has red slash through it). i can load things like word documents and other programs, but not things like control panel. i am pretty sure that the "show desktop icons" is checked. what is the problem and how could i fix it??
