You may want to use a pcmcia (An expansion slot found in many laptop computers) card
with 4 USB 2.0 ports.
I use one on my Dell laptop running win2k and my Ipod and my PDA work just fine with
it.
My PDA is the old type that needs the com port to run so I got a small apt. to switch
it over to a com port via the pcmcia USB card.
I use the com.port for a mouse on the back side of the Dell laptop...
Just a note***if you are trying to use the usb port on the backside of the older
Dell laptop it's only a 1.0 usb port and the Ipod needs to see a 2.0 usb port in
order to get it to work.
You can find a pcmcia 4 port 2.0 usb card with power supply for about 20 bucks..The
power supply is a 12 volt out put type so you can pop in just about any usb item
without over loading the power supply on the laptop.
Good Luck with your hook up
