Say what ?
If you have run the machine for 18 months as the Admin. all the setting should OK.
It sounds like you may have made a 2nd Admin. (new one) you need to Run lusrmgr.msc 
and take a look around to see what you have done.
(power user/2 Admin.) with a new password not the norm unless you want a backup Admin.
NOTE****
As the Admin. you can take full control (ownership) of all the files and folders 
on the machine..
See HELP in win2k
I don't think you want to copy the setting from the Power User to the Admin. that 
will lock you out and you may need to reinstall...
