Sunday, May 22, 2005 at 11:25 pm Windows 2000 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by JT (61 messages posted) Are you currently using (or previously uninstalled) any sort of Recycle Bin extender or deletion protection software, e.g., Norton Protected Recycle Bin, McAfee Utilities' UnErase, etc. Try a different file manager than Explorer - 2xExplorer, A43, ExplorerXP (freeware) Total Commander (shareware) - and see if you still get errors. The problem in isolating the error is that "Explorer" is used both as a file manager and as the shell (the part that displays your desktop, taskbar, start menu, etc.) and either one could be causing the errors.
