re: ico files do not display correctly any more

This problem is so annoying. First time I had this problem few months ago. Back then
I just changed the display resolution and it worked, but not anymore. It seems that
my registry is fine.
These are correct:
HKCR\.ico
"icofile"
HKCR\icofile
"Icon File"
HKCR\icofile\DefaultIcon
"%1"
But in HKCR\.ico I also have "image/x-icon"-data and a folder called "PersistentHandler".
And in HKCR\icofile I have some data called "BrowserFlags" and "EditFlags", and a
folder called "shell". Does those matter?
I have Windows 2000 and most of the icons are showing, but when I install some new
program the icons doesn't display. Help me, please!
