cd-rw and dvd does not recognize virgin disk

Everything worked fine when I had win98 as my OS. When I switched to win2000 advance
server my problem started. I can't find a driver that works with win200 for my disks.
Both of them will play cd's and read disk that have data on them. I have a Atapi
cd-r/rw6206a cd player and a Matshita dvd-r sr 8583 dvd player. Can anyone help me
find those old drivers to save me the price of a new cdr/rw drive.
