Provided you are in the US, you can grab the AC713 driver (.inf and .icm) from Acer PanAmerica.

You will download a SFX zip file "ac713_driver.exe".

  1. Unzip the contents to any directory, e.g., C:\Temp, with WinZip, 7-Zip, etc. Do not execute the SFX.
  2. At a command prompt, type "compmgmt.msc" and hit Enter
  3. From the Computer Management module, open System Tools (if necessary) and click Device Manager
  4. You should have a Monitors entry that lists either something like "Plug and Play Monitor" or "Default Monitor". If you do not have either of these entries, try running the Add/Remove Hardware wizard and let it scan your hardware. It should find *some* monitor.
  5. Double click (or right click and Properties)
  6. Click the Driver tab
  7. Click the "Update Driver..." button
  8. In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard, click Next
  9. Click "Display a list of known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver." and click Next
  10. Click the "Have Disk..." button
  11. From the "Install from Disk" dialog, select the directory to which you extracted the ac713_driver.exe and click OK
  12. Select AC713 and click Next
  13. Click Next
  14. Click Yes at the "Digital Signature Not Found" dialog
  15. Click Finish
Should be it.

Hope this helps,
JT
