You could try changing the following registry value. Go to Start-> Run ->regedit.
Browse to the following key and change the value shown.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"PowerDownAfterShutdown"="0"
