Had a bit of a time figuring how to post here, but I made it.
Go to:
Start > Run > type in "gpedit.msc" > OK.
In the tree pane on the left, navigate to and select:
"Local Computer Policy\User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows
Explorer".
In the right pane, locate the line that says:
1. "Remove Windows Explorer default context menu" and double click on it.
2. Is the "Not configured" button chosen? If it is NOT chosen, choose it and click
"OK".
3. Don't close the Group Policy editor yet, but check to see if your right click
has been restored on the desktop.
4. If the "Not configured" button WAS chosen or the above did not work, try choosing
"DISABLED" and click "OK".
If the Group Policy editor does not work, it will require a reg hack, and I am not
sure it is the same in Windows 2000 as it is on XP, so I will stop here.
Good luck.
