For the record. The content of the reg key sent to you is as follows and IS different
from what BB advised at BBR and the reason I am posting the text of it here:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer]
"NoViewContextMenu"=dword:00000000
After extracting the reg key from the .zip file, double-click on it to open it and
click "Yes" when it asks if you want to merge the key into your registry. This should
re-enable you to right click on your desktop. Please let us know if it worked.
As for some of the other suggestions given in this thread, simplicity is the key
to registry editing, not tweak programs that can confuse a user or do further damage
to their machine which is apparently what happened when other advice was given.
Regards,
CS
