Some of the MB have a very proprietary modems installed. (OEM type devices )
Goto the Mfg. of the MB and get the driver for it.
Or download aida32 (see below ▼) and install it.
Then look for the name and model number of the MB/modem and take that info to driverguide.com
and get the drivers for the modem.
Also do the same for the AC97 onboard sound device.
Then use that file to Update the one you are now using.
-----------------
aida32 download From:
This is the one I like best (ESI) ,it will show your software/cd lic.numbers for
software you have installed on the machine, and you can copy it and print it out for
safe keeping.
Aida32 - Enterprise System Information 3.93
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download183.html
Size: 3.1Mb
Personal System Information 3.93
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download181.html
Size: 2.9 Mb
unzip it to C:\Aida32 and then run the aida32.exe to run the program
Or Start/Run C:\Aida32\aida32.exe
Also drivers from:
http://www.microsoft.com/hcl/
Support\Hcl.txt
New ver. of aida32 called Everest Home Edition
It has a installer and uninstaller with it..
But it's not as good as the ESI 3.93
from below:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181
------------------------
Plus you can use this tool to do it all for you.
It's not Free but it works great.(free for 30days)
