problem opening email attachments.

Hi, Can anyone help me? I check my email via webmail. Everything working fine in
the sense that if someone sent me an email with word doc attached, I just click on
attachment and it will open up Word with the doc in it. If it is spreadsheet, Excel
will be opened up. But yesterday afternoon, I opened a general email about bird flu
and from then on, everytime I click on attachment and then the 'open' button, it
will not open it but asking me to save it. I have McAfee antivirus on my system which
updated itself through internet.
