1st.you need to get that cd out of the drive.
The Paperclip trick will work if the rom is not dead or to say the parts inside are
not damaged, it's made for just that.
When the PC boots up it checks the rom to see if it's ok ,it will spin it just for
a sec.and if it can't you will get a error message.
You may need to remove the rom from the machine to get the cd disk out if you can't
replace it with a new one for about 10.oo bucks.
If you are lucky and you get it out without taking the rom down to parts put it back
in and try it one more time.
If you still have the same error replace the rom .
The F1 call is standard help key item.
Once you get to that point and repost about the "incompatible ATAPI" error.
