To start with the win2k cd will get your win2k up and running again but you must
use it right.
1. boot with the win2k cd.
2. when you see the windows setup menu select the 1st item listed (use your enter
key)
3. at that point will ask you if you want to try and repair the OS you now have on
the machine,select YES.
4. It will rework the reg. file and put down new OS files.
5. you will need to reinstall some programs so they will run again.

IF you want to remove win2k OS and have XP only on the PC do this.
1. Right click on MyComputer/Prop./Advance Folder/StartUp and Revovery group/Setting
button
2. At the top you will see the Default OS item,select XP,then hit the OK button.
3. When you reboot you will not see the windows boot menu,it will just go into XP.
4. When your in XP find the C:\>winnt folder and DEL. it
5. win2k is gone.
6. if you want to be on the safe side just rename winnt to winn_ and reboot then
run your pc for just a bit and then DEL. the c:\winnt folder.
