It's what you are not telling.
What's on the main HD ? (OS) (win98se or win2k)
If you want to use the 2nd HD as a master you will need to put the OS files on it 
so it can boot up.

What's on the 2nd HD now ? (win2k or win98,NT,win95,DOS,etc. ? )
