You don't need the win2k cd to remove windows 2000 from your machine.
It's easy to remove win2k just boot up with a win98se OEM boot disk. (from bootdisk.com)
When you see the A: type Fdisk and remove ALL the partitions then make a new one.
At this point your PC will reboot ,when you see the A: this time type format c:
/s when it's done with the format reboot and this time select with cd rom support
when you see the A: put your win98se cd in the rom and cd to the rom drive and
cd to the win98 folder and type setup.
