Thank You, outofpocket, I owe you one, and thank you for answering so quickly. There is one more thing if you dont mind, and i dont know if it has to do with these keys or not, but the removal of the keys worked. I received a drastic improvement when i run a freeware program entitled HD Tune v2.52 from the average speed of 4.3MBs to 48.6MBs. After the test i browsed thru the tabs and it said: Standard: ATA/ATAPI-7 Supported: UDMA MODE 6 (Ultra ATA/133) Active: UDMA MODE 5 (Ultra ATA/100) Is there a limitation in win2k why does it not run at ATA133 or how do i improve this? Nevertheless this was a great help, thanks again.
