LOL.. They were clueless too when I had some questions not covered in their documentation.. 
 I figured out my own problem (different than yours)..  Your setup should work for 
WOL.  I'll have to remember that.  I have been able to VNC through though without 
a problem, haven't tried WOL yet.  The Belkins are decent but have some issues and 
I had to get 3 before I got one that worked right and wouldn't lock up..  The third 
one they sent me for free and I didn't have to return the defective one(s)..  (the 
new draft N, don't buy it yet, they have a way to go IMO, for those considering them)
