Anybody know where I can get a real Win2k product key changer ?
I see these ripoff postings all over the net and none of them have worked yet.
I found a final solution to my problem in a different post where the Windows 2000
desktop will not load but only shows the background and wallpaper.
The solution is to perform an actually system repair/reload using the original
or currently installed product key which should reload all windows system files
and leave you with a clean install. The product key in the computer I'm using comes
up as "INVALID" which means I can't fix my Win2k installation without wiping out
what is there which is what a different product key other than they one originally
installed will do.
I tried one product key changer which seems to works but wants a RPC server to
be running and I can't get past that with my crippled Win2k installation that I'm
trying to fix.
Is there any place in the registry where I can go to change the product key like
in the old versions of windows ?
I'm am this close to fixing the "desktop not loading problem" but have seem to run
into this brickwall....
any help or ideas would be appreciated....
thanks..
