Please revisit your post so that others on this forum will know if the solutions
were helpful or not helpful ........
It sounds like you should take it back to the technician and have him help you get
the programs back BUT it's real long shot to get them back,if he formated the HD
b/4 he put XP on they are gone but He may have made a backup copy of the HD b/4 he
installed XP.
Some good technician will do this as a safeguard.
But have him put the data only back in place ,not the base program, this will take
a new install of the program(s) so XP can find it and use it again.
