Restoring original W2k install

Hi all, I'll try to make it quick. I ran a Mcafee virus scan, and deleted counter.cab,
count.jar-F1901, and csrss.exe. On another board, not this on, it said to check REGEDIT
and REGEDT32 for other instances. I did find csrss.exe and deleted it. Then on reboot,
it gets to the last blue square of "starting windows" and then reboots itself. In
the proces of trying to run W2k Repair from the CD, I installed another instance
of W2k on the same c:drive. That new nstall boots up fine, but I do not have any
of my old settings or programs. On reboot if I choose the 2nd W2k(original) I get
the same problem of getting in a reboot loop. Is there any way to repair the registry
on the original w2k install, from the new install that boots up? Or any way to associate
my settings from the original install to work with the new install? Bottom line,
I just want one instance of w2k, and would prefer to keep my setting that I had,
so that all my programs work. Thanks in advance.
