Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he will eat for the rest of his life.

The system is the reg file, you do have a backup copy on the machine, called system.sav
if it's ok you can rename it by using the recovery console, that you can get to via
the Safemode, or by using a util software so you can edit under the NTFS,,,,,
If all the item above don't work for you,, you can reboot with the win2k cd and
from the setup menu select SETUP and windows will rebuild the reg file so it can
load up again.
