Deleted WINNT2 folder. At win2k Setup files started copying to win folder. Then
got message: -
Setup cannot copy the file: dx7vb.dll
. To retry, press ENTER
If you are installing from a CD, make sure the windows 2000 CD is in the CD-ROM drive
. To skip this file, press ESC /
caution: If you skip this file Setup may not complete and windows 2000 may not work
properly
. To quit Setup, PressF3 -
I pressed ENTER and retried. Setup copied files successfully. PC rebooted, got
win2k 'Starting up' screen with win GUI. At end of this screen a black console screen
with win2k gui at the top and words " Setup is being restarted" appeared. After
some seconds I got a very pale blue Windows screen instead of the sky blue one.
There was no information on the screen and it just stayed there. Had to restart
the machine.
