error 1083 when trying to start SENS (system event notification) service...

cant start SENS because of "error 1083: The executable program this services is configured to run in does not implement the service." ...what happened to plain english(tm) error messages? ;) im not sure what information is needed to help in diagnosing this problem so if more info is needed i will be more than happy to oblige btw, as far as googling this error goes i cant seem to find a solution... one that works anyway... for my problem... many thx
