Image display problems in IE

Hello
As of today I've noticed that my Internet Explorer will not display image sof ANY
file extension on webpages, It also wont display the iamge if i drag and drop a image
from ym documents into a IE window (it just acts as if it's dowloading it but never
does)
I at first thought this was my Spybot acting up as that's all I've updated of late
and when I removed the immunisations it worked.
However with them off it still occasionally didnt display the images and I reapplied
them and it worked and now it doesn't again.
I think soemthings damged the settings or somehing as it's acting really erratically
and noone on the Spybot forums had had this problem.
Could anyone suggest a way to sort this out?
And on an alternate note does anyone know how to use a AVGfree created rescue disk
if all else fails? (I saved it to my harddrive) but can't seem to use it
