One more thing: How will you install Windows 98 on the formatted drive, seeing how
the laptop has no floppy and standard Windows 98 CD's are not "bootable"?
You have different options on how to do this, search this forum or Google.
One good option is to remove the hard drive, install it in a desktop (with a 2.5"
to 3.5" IDE adapter), copy the Win98 folder from the 98 CD to the hard drive, and
use the SYS command to make the hard drive bootable. Then, reinstall the HD to the
laptop and go to C:\Win98 and type setup.
