Since you probably created a Mess, If it was Me I would just reinstall 2000.

You do that by booting to your 2000 CD. at the Partition screen you choose to delete the Partitions. That gets rid of your Mess.

Then just follow the on-screen directions to create a new Partition, Format, and in about a Hour 2000 will be installed.

Then Check device manager to look for Hardware that might need Drivers. Get a Firewall installed, go online to track down any Drivers you might need, and install Programs when needed.
