Thanks Dex and CK, but im still having the same problem. I already edited the BIOS
settings for my system. The Cd that i have says "Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional,
Windows 2000 Server, and
Windows 2000 Advanced Server".
The machine is a Compaq Presario with win98 SE with Intel celeron about 600mhz, with
256 MB. It's more than 5 years old.
When i insert the win2k cd inside the setup runs until the blue screen where it says
to press enter to install win2k now, press enter. After i press enter the blue screen
says "Please Insert CD Windows Professional 2000 into CD-ROM" but the CD is already
inside. I tried doing the Boot Disk but they also fails with the Disk Error I/O message.
CK if you say it could be the cable than how can i read and write floopies? Once
again thanks for both of your time and effort. If you have any other suggestions
please feel free to comment. Thanks, Alex.
