Anything that's on a BIOS chip can be change or removed
It's not a hard device so to speak, some of the older computers had one you could
not write to or remove anything from it, the old 286 and some of the 386 machines
had this,hard BIOS device..
But a guy who takes your laptop is not the sharpest nail in the box,,, and I don't
think it writes anything to the BIOS chip because it calls into Lo/Jack all the time
and it needs to be on the HD to do that...the BIOS can't hold junk like your SN and
your info...The BIOS is a base startup device..telling the OS what you have on the
machine for hardware...and how to use it...
You can always just get a cable and lock it down that will slow them down but if
you are on the move with it WELL
Lo/Jack will refund the price of it's software if they can't get your laptop back
for you BUT they can't do that to offen,, did you read how many laptop tops walk
off per.year
Good Luck
