Sounds like the reg. file got nailed...or you have a HD going bad..
I think I would guess the 1st.one...
Do you have a ERD disk made for your machine.?
You can try and use the repair tools on the win2k cd.
that may get it back for you.
just boot up with the win2k cd in the rom and give it a shot be sure you have your
PC set to boot from the rom.
Set as the 1st.boot device..
