Try this, it may get them back
Start/Run sfc /purgecache have your win2k cd on hand it may ask for it if it finds
your system files in error..
(sfc=system file checker) see HELP in win2k for more info..
Or
You can always boot up with the win2k cd and run the repair items listed...
