Fonts problem con Access 2000

I am having some troubles with access 2000 in a Win2k environment. First of all when
I select options/data sheet and try to select a default font, the fonts list is empty!
and I cannot select anything.
Second ... when writing in labels creating a report, I can't get the "&" character
to display (I only get a blank or an underscore). May this be related to the first
problem?
