Empty Norton Protected Files

I am using Windows 2000 Professional (5.0.2195) Service Pack 4. I recently uninstalled Norton Anti-Virus 2003 in favor of Avast. However, I've noticed that my Recycle Bin still shows the "Empty Norton Protected Files", which is not enabled, in the Recycle Bin's context menu. How do I delete this entry from the context menu and delete the associated folder (NProtect) for this?
